Course summary

A detailed technical description of the air interface for 5G radio communications. This includes the principles of millimetre wave and multiple antenna communications, channel structures and resource mapping, access and non-access stratum protocols, and signalling procedures for idle and active devices.

Who would benefit

Engineers involved with equipment design, operation, optimization or monitoring of the 5G air interface.

Prerequisites

An engineering background with some knowledge of digital radio systems and general radio principles and techniques is assumed. A basic understanding of 5G and experience of LTE systems would be beneficial.
